Data pipeline project — interactive case study

Spindle Records.
A page-to-table collection pipeline.

the ethics line

We scrape like guests, because we are. Public pages only — we check robots.txt before the first request and honor its crawl-delay, we rate-limit every crawler we ship and identify it in the user-agent, and we don't touch login-walled, paywalled or personal data without a lawful basis. A target that fails those checks gets declined before you pay, with the reason in writing. Boring, legal, reliable — that's the product.

02 the offer

Fixed price, fixed days, rows you can open.

Three scopes, each delivering a file your spreadsheet understands on day one. The top tier ships the crawler itself — documented, scheduled, and yours.

03 the gap

What the market gets wrong.

Recurring failure modes from scraping buyers on the big marketplaces — and the way this studio is built so they can't happen here.

01 · finish

"The scrape stalled most of the way in and went quiet — it took a formal dispute to get the rest delivered."

the dax answer

Staged proof, not promises: sample rows land on day one, the full file before final payment. You're never holding a receipt for data you haven't seen.

02 · feasibility

"Hard-to-reach data turned the job into weeks of hand-holding — the buyer ended up project-managing the crawler."

the dax answer

We test the target before we quote. JavaScript-heavy pages get headless-browser extraction (Playwright); genuinely blocked ones get an honest no up front. Any quote you accept is one we've already proven we can land.

03 · pricing

"Every listing says 'contact me for price' — you can't budget a job nobody will put a number on."

the dax answer

The prices are printed on this page. Three fixed scopes, fixed day counts, add-ons with numbers attached. The negotiation is already done.

04 · compliance

"Tens of thousands of 'verified' contacts at volume — with no accuracy guarantee and no compliance story beyond a claim."

the dax answer

Volume without provenance is a liability, not a lead list. Our deliveries document where each row came from, validation is a priced add-on rather than an adjective, and data that needs a login or a lawful basis we don't have is a job we decline in writing.
